I am so happy that I was introduced to this awesome organization during my monumental early teen years! Being apart of Generation NOW: Girls Squad has been such an amazing experience because I get to be myself and confide in other girls around my age. My involvement in Gen NOW has boosted my confidence and taught me how to overcome life’s challenges with grace!

Growing up, I didn't have a very good childhood. I had an absent and mentally ill mother, dad was out of the picture, and was raised by man different and abusive adults who should've been those I could trust. Due to these adverse childhood experiences, the past 10 years of my life have been rough. My mother who was my foster mother and adopted me out of the system has had her fair share of troubles with me. From school meetings for behaviors to treatment and therapy, she's been there through it all. I recently discharged from the Providence mental health unit and since then my emotions have stabilized and my desire to live has changed for the better. If it weren't for my friends and the supportive adults involved with Generation Now, formerly known as Gen Z Girls, I don't know where I'd be. I'd like to specially thank Adrienne and Lolo for their love and support for me and the other young ladies and young men. We love you and appreciate you.

When my daughter came to the group about five years ago, she was very shut down and closed off. She was sweet on the inside but she carried a lot of pain from being bullied and teased, so she would show people that she was tough so that they wouldn’t approach her. I always felt in my heart that my daughter had leadership skills, but as a mom, sometimes they don’t believe it when it’s coming from you. You were more than willing to work with my daughter and I am so thankful for it. With you, I have seen my daughter grow and I’m still watching her become the woman that God is calling her to be. Due to your relentless love and kindness towards her and always making yourself available to her, she is finally walking in those leadership skills that God has placed on the inside of her. You are truly heaven sent and you are exactly in the field that God has created you to be in. These children need you and your level of concern and understanding for them is a rare find. I have actually seen young ladies desire to become better after knowing you. Their admiration towards you is plentiful. Anytime your name is mentioned to a young person
who knows you, immediately their eyes lights up and they smile from ear to ear talking about how amazing you are. I have witnessed it for myself. Through you and your guidance from the Lord above you will continue to do great things and I thank you for your obedience to the call.

Let me start by saying I love Adrienne and everything she has done in my life. In 2016 she told my mom about what she had going on and I did not want to go. The first session was at the church with 5-10 girls. In the begging I was to myself because I did not want to be there. Towards the end I got more comfortable and was willing to give it another shot. 6 years later I am a loyal member of what is now called Gen Now. I am now a teen leader and role model for the other girls who looked up to me. Not only was I encouraging other girls, I was also getting the help I needed as well. I help make sure important messages are sent out to the girls. I also come up with discussion lessons and topics I feel we should talk about as well as activities to bring us closer together. The goal of this organization is to assist teen girls positively throughout life and maintain a positive lifestyle with obstacles that may come our way. I believe that is exactly what this organization does and even though I was hesitant I’m glad I went and am now apart, Trust me you wont regret being apart of the Gen Now fam!
